If you’re a collector, you know it’s the smallest details that stay with you a shadow across a wall, the texture of stone, the stillness of dawn. That’s where my process begins, each painting takes place, it doesn't just happen. Where is the painting coming from, who or what is in the scene, what mood is the painting going to portray? My art is deeply rooted in my experiences, childhood, travel, people. I am a realism abstract artist that mixes mediums and textures to achieve the desired feeling and memory I want to achieve.
Every composition I create is deliberate, a balance of form and feeling. I don’t make pieces to simply decorate; I make them to invite reflection and connection. When you live with my work, it becomes more than a painting, it becomes an experience one had, a reminder or a wish of times experienced or longed for.
